I am a new teacher building my class library. These books will be used by my students for student-selected reading. I want to expose the students to all genres of books. Having a choice is so important to spark their love of reading. It is important for the students to see themselves in the books they read. I am trying to make my classroom library as diverse as my student population. All kids deserve access to an incredible classroom library. I can't wait to see them fall in love with reading! Student selected reading will be the most important part of our day.
