Flexible seating helps students who have trouble sitting still. They are able to wiggle and bounce while remaining focused on the task at hand. They are able to use them at their seat or pick a spot in the room that will be the best place for them to get their work done. Why did I choose these items? I chose the wobble seats to help my students wiggle while they are in their seats or on the carpet. The work desk will be used when the students want to work in another area of the room. Finally, the yoga balls will be used either at their desk or our small group table to help them remained focused during lessons. I believe that these few items will help get me started on turning my classroom into a flex space.
