This year, my students will be encouraged to read and participate with personally chosen stories outside of the classroom. As we read and analyze literature in my classroom, students will be able to choose from a list of titles that have similar themes to those of the texts we study together to read on their own! This activity will go alongside our text studies all year (that is a lot of stories for students to engage with!). I hope that students will be able to dive deeper into our essential questions as they discover multiple works with similar themes. Students will be able to read books of their personal interest that share the same ideas as the ones we study together. However, not every student has timely access or the resources to obtain some books that interest them; therefore, I need to provide students with these books. Join me as I help my students have access to any story that captivates their mind!
