I will use the alternate seating during small group time when students are working on computers and reading during group time. The flexible seating will can also be used during whole group time when students are fidgety and don't want to distract others. The flexible seating will allow them to have a little movement without it being distracting to others. Students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work! The students seem to work harder and be engaged in their learning when they are not always in the same spot. Flexible seating give little children an opportunity to move out of their own chairs into something more flexible which gives them movement.
