Our carpet area is our main gathering space throughout the day. We come to the carpet for all our main literacy and math lessons, for read alouds, and to begin and end our day as a community. Having the option to use a wobble stool or cushion during carpet time would benefit all my students, specifically my more active learners. Some of us, myself included, need to wiggle! I am amazed by how responsible my Kindergartners are with flexible seating. The idea of flexible seating seems to come very natural to them and they quickly learn how they and others learn best.
