One of the major goals in our new classroom is to make is different than a traditional classroom. Since the theme of our school is Renaissance, we want students to feel like they are being transported to a new world. Students will focus on the European Renaissance, Chinese Renaissance, and Harlem Renaissance in our room, so we want to make it feel like they are there but with a modern twist. One of the major elements of our curriculum is literacy, but we will not have a large library right on our campus, so I want the students to have access to as many books as possible, and as the teacher, I want to create a mini library.
