This kind of active and self-directed learning is a powerful model for what I want to see my students doing in school. It represents "deeper learning" by using critical thinking skills and creativity. Time spent on making and tinkering activities like LEGOs and the LEGO wall connect with and advance learning goals that I have for my students. The LEGO wall brings STEM/STEAM and Makerspace learning to life. It challenges them to build on this huge, vertical alternative to traditional baseplates or tiles. Building with LEGOS help foster fine- motor, gross-motor, and sensory play. This will add a brand-new dimension to our classroom!
