My students are learning to read and are starting to read to learn. They like reading books about topics that interest them. This year my students love reading about space and animals. My students love choosing books from our classroom library to keep in their book bags to read during the day. My students use their book bags to read during reading lessons, when they have extra time during the day, and when they read with a buddy to encourage collaboration. They recommend books to each other and love rereading books they heard as a read-aloud in class. Help me add engaging and educational books to our classroom library to help foster the love of reading in my students.
