I am requesting tennis balls to go on the bottom of my students chairs, to reduce the the sound made when their chairs are moved. I have a couple of students in my class that have sensory issues. They cover their ears anytime they hear the screeching of the chairs when they are moved. Students move their chairs constantly throughout the day, resulting in the kids with those particular issues being uncomfortable in their own classroom. Everyone deserves the opportunity to learn in an environment that they feel comfortable in. It is very difficult to hear the morning announcements when chairs are moving. These tennis balls will give everyone in my class an opportunity to learn in a peaceful environment free from distractions from noisy chairs.
