By providing students with these books they will be able to further their passion of the criminal mind, investigations, and criminal history while fulfilling the literary component of the class with extensive texts instead of relying on short pieces that can be found online. Being able to read some of these books as a class will help students by allowing them to analyze and discuss investigations into actual crimes and fictional works. Having students complete case files on as a class with student led discussion will be much more valuable than being spoon fed information or everyone always looking at different crimes and trying to present their findings to the class. Having access to these books will not only benefit students in this class but students in the school looking for independent reading material.
