Students like employees need the proper tools to achieve success in their profession. We are molding these young minds to be able to successfully contribute to our society. Many if not all of my students come from high risk environments as well as low income households. This contributes to starting the year behind the 8 ball in terms of preparedness. As a math class we will use this resources to explore the different concepts that will open students’ minds to able to compute, analyze and explore how math and critical thinking skills will open the door to make innovative contributions in the future workforce. Help give students the tools to achieve the success that everyone deserves. By providing these resources students’ mind and attitude will begin to change. They won't have the “I can't” approach that holds them back. Together we can help put them on the track to contribute and change the future. Everyone needs to be involved in education and this is a small part that you can help with. Nobody should feel “less than” because of materials that every student needs. We will use all these resources and tools to take notes, work out math equations. As anyone can attest, you can't do math without paper and pencil. As a teacher, I will be able to provide these items and have them focus on the work instead of “do I have a pencil?”
