Students learn better when they have flexible seating and work in cooperative groups. Our classroom has desks that we have arranged in groups and a large open area for class discussions. This project will provide a new cooperative learning space for students to read, write, work on math activities, and work together. Much of our reading and writing is done in partner groups and this project will create a flexible space for groups to work together. This will also be perfect for our books clubs to use for discussing their books. We can also use it during our Math center time. There are so many possibilities for this flexible seating that the options are endless. I can picture my second graders gathered around the table discussing their favorite books. Please help us and be a part of our classroom community. Thank you!
