Students need experiences that will prepare them for real-life situations. STEM activities provide the perfect opportunity for such learning experiences. English Language Learners thrive during STEM activities. These activities enable them to work on their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. Moreover, they are given the opportunity to use multiple intelligences that require more than just a pencil and paper. STEM activities are motivating for those students who think outside of the box. Best of all is the sense of belonging and community these activities survive. I believe that STEM activities have a direct effect on my positive classroom!
