The use of Chromebooks are a daily activity in my classroom, in every subject. With the use of almost all programs (from Math and Literacy programs to numerous others) on the computers, comes audio which is engaging and helps anchor student learning. This requires the use of headphones to best help each student. Headphones can be used as noise blockers, which greatly enhances children's focus in learning. Headphones for every student will allow them to get full and complete use of all academic programs which will positively contribute to their learning abilities. Students with reading accommodations will also greatly benefit from the use of headphones, as to have words read to them which in turn will give them the opportunity to show what they truly know. These students will not be hindered by their reading (or lack of) reading skills if they have the use of headphones. By donating to our project, you will help improve student engagement and focus, which are two of the most important aspects that contribute to learning. Students will be able to focus on all academic material without the noise and distractions from others' Chromebooks or activities. In this technologically advanced world, their interaction with technology and the support of headphones will also increase literacy skills as well as their desire to learn!
