I am a new counselor with no previous counseling supplies. Unfortunately, I also have no budget from the school district. I do not even receive the small stipend classroom teachers get for supplies. These books will assist me in providing social emotional lessons to all students about respect, responsibility, kindness, social awareness, emotional regulation, growth mindset, self-management, and relationships. My goal is to better develop a school environment where students learn to care for themselves both physically and emotionally. I also want to provide students with a better understanding of feelings they may have, and coping strategies for dealing with stress, anxiety, and other stressors. I am working toward achieving improved mental health outcomes for all students as they grow and prepare for middle school!
