These books, in both Spanish and English, will give my students the opportunity they deserve to continue to grow their bi-literate abilities. With a large classroom library, I have a chance to pique interest in a variety of students with regard to reading. It can often be daunting to read higher level books in your second language, for this, I have chosen well known titles that students are familiar with. Furthermore, during read aloud, students will gain many of the analytical skills needed to comprehend and dive into more challenging text. We will come to the carpet and form a large circle group during read aloud. It can be tough to be comfortable and stay engaged for longer periods of time on the floor. With seat cushions, students can find comfort and remain engaged. Books are much more engaging for the listener through voice inflection and character voice differentiation. I will be able to effectively engage my students with a PA system during read aloud. With these materials, students will be able to further foster a love for literacy.
