My students are half Latino and half African-American, Asian-American and multi-ethnic. Many of my students don't have computers at home, but all of their parents have cell phones. The plan is to be able to capture their learning and send it, either scanned (if it's a hard copy) or in photo form to their families. The home-school connection is crucial in closing the achievement gap.
