My students love visiting our school library and this project will bring an official "library" to our very own classroom. My project includes a digital check out system that allows students to scan their books in and out to help keep track of all material borrowed. They can search for books by title, genre, reading level, and even write a review for the text when they are finished enjoying it! What's missing? A fully stocked library with grade/age-appropriate books that will engage fifth graders. By donating to this project, you will be helping to expose children to a variety of authors and genres and give them a chance to explore reading in ways they haven't been able to before. This addition to our classroom will drastically improve students desire and confidence to be independent readers. It will also help support my belief in giving students a ​choice in their reading material.
