I teach 18-20 wonderful 6-7 year olds in an awesome First Grade classroom at Pleasant Ridge Elementary, located in Gastonia N.C. Year to year these children become apart of our "classroom" family through nurturing, education and classroom team work. These children come to school everyday in hopes to have a "home" away from their home. As an educator it is my responsibility to provide each and every student with the best classroom experience as possible! In August, I will have 18-20 rising First Graders join my classroom. These children will be coming from Kindergarten. It is my goal to create an environment that makes them feel like their school environment is a "home-environment." This carpet will provide individualized seating for each and every child in the classroom. It will allow students to maintain their own personal space while having a positive influence on each student's learning and focus.
