Our classroom has only a small number of unit blocks to share. This larger master set will allow more children to participate in the block area and to create larger structures. The various shapes will help with pre-math skills and geometry skills. Balancing the wooden blocks will help with fine motor development. Trying to build in different ways to keep a structure from falling will allow the children to work on problem solving skills. Social emotional development will also happen as the children work together to build wonderful creations. Blocks are a wonderful teaching tool and are great open-ended resources. Please help me to enhance our classroom with a large set of these unit blocks.
