One of my main goals in my music class is to give my students a hands-on education so they can not only learn about the theories and basics of music, but to also give them the space and ability to apply those concepts through fun and exciting activities. Musical literacy is one of the most important things a child can walk out of school with. Music is proven to improve test scores, increase students IQ levels, improve coordination, further develop their language skills, and so much more! With these ukuleles, I will be able to not only teach my students a new, fun instrument, but also teach them musical literacy and improve their hand-eye coordination. With access to these instruments, my students music education will be far richer and will give them a broader scope of all of the exciting things that they can do with the musical knowledge that they leave my classroom with.
