My students are engineering and technology enthusiasts. Sometimes that technology, in the form of cell-phones, inspires them too much during class time. Help me to help them direct the attention back to English and divert the attention from their screens. This charging hub can work as an incentive as students may willingly place their phones to charge as long as they leave it there for the remainder of the period. The cables are an emergency supply, in case they have forgotten their own. The acrylic box however, is a "time out box" to place the phones in when they have taken out their phone during class time. The acrylic box locks so other students cannot access the cellphones. The key stays with me, the phones are safe and in view of the students, and they can charge their phones as an added bonus.
