By offering lap desks, balance balls, and bucket seats in a variety of locations around the classroom, students can move to a comfortable space where they can take ownership of their own learning. Bouncy bands will provide students with non-distracting ways to get their fidgets out! Students who are offered choices in their learning environments tend to invest more in those learning opportunities. Flexible seating will open up more doors of choice and get my students out of their traditional seats. Lap desks in our library center, balance balls in our literacy center and bucket seats in our guided reading center will add variety.
