Sitting in one chair all day is a lot for students. They need movement during their lessons, and their seating choices should reflect the movement they need. Students also come to the carpet for multiple reasons including whole group instruction, small group, and even just because they have trouble seeing the board. By donating to this project, you are helping students be able to sit comfortably. Students also sit around my room during reading time, and for fun Fridays when they get the chance to sit with friends to complete their work. The flexible seating of the chairs and the lap desk give my students the space that they need to work as well as give them the comfort when they have to sit on the floor or carpet.
