I believe that a classroom library is the heartbeat of a teacher's environment. It is the window into an educator's own personality, and it reflects the importance of literacy in the classroom. This is my first year teaching and I am eager to build a classroom library filled with a variety of books! With this project, I will be able to provide my students with leveled books, thematic books, books by author, and books for Reader’s Workshop. These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I am striving to create. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level. They will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will help my students grow stronger in reading. One day, the books may fall apart with use, but remember that there's no better death for a book than its having been read too much and by too many.
