This is my first year of teaching and I am so excited! As I am getting ready to put my first classroom together I realized picture books is the one of the things I do not have enough of! Picture books are so important for all levels of readers because it helps build vocabulary, inspires creative thinking, increases engagement, and much more! Picture books helps as well during interactive read alouds to build foundational skills, to show expressive reading, and helps children recognize that reading is fun and pleasurable! The picture books that I have picked out have great themes to them that can be read by the students individually or as a whole class read aloud.

About my class
