I love allowing students to really take on independence in the classroom, allowing them to organizing their learning supplies and having what they need. Having what they need nearby is essential to their learning. Right now, my classroom has many things in abundance but storage for student supplies is not one of them. Having a desk with storage for each student would allow my students to have a clear learning space and an area to keep all their books, notebooks and more, right where they are working. This would also allow for students to move their desks to create new pairs and groups, and still have everything they need.
