This project will allow me to start building my students' voices and increase their engagement, while they wait to catch the microphone ball. Students who receive special education often have met with frustration and begin to fall in the shadows of the classroom. They are scared to share their ideas as, in past experiences, some of their ideas have been wrong or laughed at by others. "Why share... Why put myself out there?", they ask. The QBall will give them the motivation to want to participate and share their voices! It is often my job to restore their confidence and help them see that to can contribute to the classroom. Additionally, the QBall will allow them to hear others' thoughts and examples, and to begin to learn from each other.
