I teach reading to first grade students. Making sure they are comfortable and have many options for seating is so important to help keep them engaged. My school and myself do not have the funds to make this possible. This is where YOU can help these eager first graders enhance their reading and learning environment. Studies have shown that flexible seating helps students stay engaged and promotes a better learning environment. Seeing the joy on their faces when they see alternative seating rather than the hard desk and chair - is so exciting. I feel blessed that there is a project such as Donors Choose to help my students.
