For 4 and 5 year olds, they should constantly be exposed to literacy through multiple sources. A listening center is a great literacy center to provide for the students in which students are exposed to the use of technology to listen to stories from other sources rather than just an adult. This is a tool that will be used on a daily basis during literacy centers. In order for children to learn how to read, they first need to be exposed to books constantly where they call follow along to the book and see how the words match up to the letters through sound. The students are going to love this station!
