Flexible seating is an important addition to any modern classroom, and mine is lacking in options for my students. I want to provide a variety of materials that will allow for several alternative seating options. When students walk into the classroom, they see desks and chairs. There's no variety! There are so many studies that show students who are given room to move are able to stay more focused on their work! Wobble chairs are chairs that won't sit still, giving students a chance to wiggle while the work and engage physically. Balance balls and wobble cushions allow for the same freedom of wiggling, and also let students mix up how and where they sit.
