Every primary classroom has a meeting area where they do community circles, core instruction and a safe place to relax. The classroom carpet is this place!! I need a carpet that will keep my students in order with clear routines, this is the carpet for my class. Next year I will have to move to a bigger carpet that will fit more students than my previous carpets that were falling apart. My carpet is a safe place where we discuss our learning, our feelings, our day and our family. Classroom carpets are not only used for core instruction but for emotional learning, sharing our cultural similarities and differences, presenting our learning, and having small group get-togethers. My students also choose to go to the carpet to relax and have a quiet place to read. This will make a colorful and inviting addition to our classroom.
