Each student will be assigned a pair of headphones to use throughout the school year to read audiobooks, rewatch focus lessons, screencast, take online assessments, and much more. Giving our students access to technology in the classroom for personalized, equitable learning experiences is crucial in this competitive digital era. Each student is assigned a chrome book to use during the school year. Headphones allow students to block out distractions and focus on their own learning. My classroom contains several English Language Learners who will benefit from having books, assessments, and text read out loud to them. With a vast range of learners, headphones will allow for student empowerment and engagement with student-led learning. Last year students had to share unreliable headphones which decreased the potential of our 1:1 Chromebook ratio. Giving each student their own set, they can begin to take responsibility for their own learning.
