A majority of our students play on school owned instruments. Most of these instruments do not have the appropriate equipment (if any) in order to be playable. Due to this, students are having to share instruments, mouthpieces, ligatures, etc. This causes a lot of the instruments or equipment to break and be in constant repair. When instruments are sent away for repair, or equipment gets broken, the students are going weeks without using an instrument. Having newer, and more available equipment will allow each student to have their own instrument to play. Students will be able to use a school instrument without having to share, they will have the appropriate equipment available for that instrument, and the instruments will undergo less wear and tear throughout the school year.
