A portable AC will help students achieve their goals. Students have a hard time focusing on academics if they are in classrooms that are over 90 degrees. I have a personal fan in the classroom but it isn't sufficient during those long hot months. Students can't learn if they are not given the basic human necessities. My goal is to be the best possible teacher but it is difficult to achieve that goal when students aren't comfortable in their learning environment. I am a special education teacher and my students have learning disabilities that shouldn't include physical discomfort in my classroom.
