The iPads I am requesting for this project will be used every day of our 180 day school year as well as years to come. All 21 of my students will benefit from exposure to technology in the classroom. Specifically, I will use the iPads for publishing student writing (from informational books to poetry anthologies), for practicing spelling words online, for keyboarding, for writing code, for listening to books, for playing math enrichment games, for science investigations, for collaborating with peers, for researching topics, for watching TED Ed talks, and so much more. These iPads will help enrich and extend student learning for those who are above grade level benchmarks. Additionally, they will help to support and differentiate learning those students who have literacy and math challenges. These iPads would be used independently and in small groups. They would take learning to the next level for my students.
