I teach at an elementary arts magnet school in the state of Texas. The student population I work with is 63% economically disadvantaged. As a drama teacher, I want to expose them to as many fine arts experiences as possible. My desire for them is that they rise above their circumstances in life and experience the joy and fulfillment creative expression in the arts can bring to them.
