Our school is constantly finding ways to promote healthy habits and ensuring that students know how to maintain a positive and healthy outlook. Help us create the NHCA Oasis, which will be a space for students to meet with the counselor in small groups/individually. It will also provide a space to decompress when students are feeling overwhelmed. We are looking to get a few pillows, coffee table, wall decor, bulletin board accessories, and an oil diffuser to turn one of the classrooms into the meditation/counseling oasis. The goal is to create a warm/cozy space where students can work with our counselors/provider to address issues that may be impacting them in a negative manner. The mental health of our students is important!! We want to ensure that they know that the key to achievement lies in how they see and think about themselves. We want our students to be grounded and know that with the appropriate supports they can reach high levels of success in their lives.
