As an avid reader myself, I strive to create a love for reading within my classroom by the use of a diverse collection of books. These amazing books listed will help me to develop the print-enriched classroom that I seek to establish within our learning community. My classroom library is where students read individually, collectively, and enjoy breath-taking read-aloud books from other teachers, peers, mystery readers, and myself. Every student book that is placed in our library is preserved with gentle and loving care; my students will relish in the opportunity to have easier access to books that are interesting, diverse, and culturally-relevant to who they are as learners and individuals. With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level, as well as help them obtain new knowledge and enjoy the books they read. By having a diverse classroom library, students will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and to read about what you love. These books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading as well as to develop a love for it.
