I don’t have enough up to date dictionaries for my students to use. Please help me help them with this basic necessity that magnifies their learning through literacy projects such as word webs, vocabulary, and more colorful writing. Last year, my 5th-8th grade ELA students created poetry and figurative language booklets. Those booklets required the use of dictionaries to ensure correct spelling. The only thesauruses I have are falling apart or are very thin. The new thesauruses would be so beneficial I helping them have the creative and colorful language needed for projects such as those listed above, and they wouldn’t have to share.
