The rectangular tables I am requesting will be used in my 5th grade classroom to facilitate collaborative learning. Tables allow students to sit and work independently or team up to work together. They are also free from the distractions of desks and the items they contain. Students will be given opportunities to work on projects that require a larger work area. Social skills are often lost in the world of social media. Students need the opportunity to build relationships and collaboration with each other. Communication, along with other interpersonal skills, will help to prepare our students for their future. We are building leaders!
