Having access to Chromebooks on a daily basis will give my students the opportunity to listen and read texts on their independent reading level through the different websites like www.razkids.com. Interacting with the website that was previously mentioned will help my students increase their independent reading level. It will also help my students work on comprehending and reading texts fluently. In addition, daily interaction with this website on the Chromebooks will help me keep track of their progress as for as "Leveling Up" or increasing their independent reading level. Furthermore, I will be able to use the data from the website to determine which of my students need additional help. The Chromebooks will also help reinforce student learning within the classroom. My students will be able to have daily access to different educational websites. Being able to interact with these websites on a daily basis will allow my students to practice applying previously learned phonics rules, math strategies and concepts, and comprehension skills. Finally, my students will be able to use the Chromebooks to take state mandated tests, such as the NWEA MAP assessment.
