Because reading is a significantly large instructional tool for teaching first grade, I want to make sure that I provide my students with the resources that they need to excel in, not only their academics, but as future world changers as well. I also want to make sure that while they are reading, I am teaching with intentionality. As you will notice, many of the books that were chosen were intentional and will guide many classroom lesson plans and provide my students with valuable life lessons. This classroom is based on loving and respecting differences and diversity and theres no better way to teach this than with books!

About my class
