The books outlined in this project will be utilized in the classroom for various activities. Reading takes place at all times of the school day for whole-group instruction, small-group intervention, center time, recess, rest time, etc. Most of the books will be located in the library center, but they will also be scattered throughout the classroom to ensure reading material in every learning center. The goal is to give all students access to reading material at all times of the day, no matter what subject is being discussed or taught. Students having access to reading materials will help them draw connections to their world, enhance vocabulary, learn about new ideas or concepts, and also discover the joy of reading!
