Edutopia.org cites a study which details optimizing flexible seating student choice within the classroom, along with naturalness and stimulation, improving academic performance in reading, math, and writing by 16 percent. Wobble Cushions help improve attention, improve core strength, and improve sense of balance. Wobble cushions have been used by children that have known sensory issues or difficulties which include Autism, ADHD, and Sensory Processing Disorder. All students will have the option to use the cushions in their chairs during independent work or on the floor during instructions. The stools will be used at the small group teaching table. Students will also have the option to move them around the room when small group has ended. Students will have different options for seating which best suit their ability to focus and be comfortable while learning whole group, small group, or independent work time.
