Can speaking up and listening actually be fun? Sure it can! By utilizing this Qball throwable cordless microphone my students will be better able to speak and be heard plainly by others and myself from across the classroom. I teach 4th grade science, social studies, and writing. During our class time students can, while holding the ball (microphone) also have the floor to speak. This tool is a lightweight device wrapped in durable, soft foam. Students can toss it back and forth during classroom activities. I feel that student participation and engagement will increase because they will know their voice is heard and valued, and they will then feel more empowered. During activities or lectures, I can have questions and answers coming from whomever is holding the ball. Students will learn to respect others, share, participate in discussions, and be more willing to answer questions.
