Young children struggle with sitting still for long periods of time...wobble stools are a perfect solution! I incorporate movements breaks in my whole group lessons every 15-20 minutes whether it’s a little dance or just standing up for some kinesthetic learning like arm spelling for sight words or using wooden blocks to create letters. I love using my flexible seating as a movement break..they can bounce while working on the yoga balls or change their seat during independent work time. My students this past year loved being able to borrow wobble stools from my coworker and seemed to prefer them over some of my other flexible seating options. I think wobble stools would be a great addition to my flexible seating classroom!
