These hands on materials will set the tone for our learning daily. First graders need an engaging and purposeful method to start our day. I want my students to be thrilled to come to school, eager to learn and develop skills collaborating together. My students will get the opportunity to collaboratively learn with their peers, while also developing their fine motor skills. My desire is to create a space where students want to be in! I plan to use these materials for "Good Morning Tubs". I want them to feel empowered in their own learning and feel proud of their accomplishments. It will create a positive learning environment in which the manipulatives will encourage discussions and provide opportunities to think outside the box.
