Exciting young readers through the Math books will provide the necessary "hook" to their learning. Reading a book before I begin my Math lessons helps my students gain an insight to become better mathematicians. Reading is a necessity to be taught across all subjects; therefore, I am requesting books for my kindergarten class. Young children need to not only have manipulatives in Math, they also need other concrete materials such as reading materials, i.e something they can refer back to. I feel having the books that I've chosen will provide excellent examples in both our Reading and Math curriculum for all of my students to become successful.

About my class
