The students in a border town in South Texas have limited resources due to low income families. We have limited reading resources at our campus. I could just imagine their faces during magical story time as we go on new adventures with new books. They could reenact the stories during Readers Theatre. These books would be used during silent independent reading time, buddy shared reading, and learning centers. I am trying to instill the love of reading through different genres and a variety of books that will spark their interest.When my project gets funded those books will be in my students hands and the learning possibilities are endless! My students are embarking on their Reading Journey as new readers and would love some new books. We are ready for our magical Reading adventure!
